School days means early morning routine for typical mothers like me. Waking up early on weekdays to cook and prepare breakfast and baon (packed lunch and snacks) for our school children as we naturally want them to eat healthy meals during their class breaktime even far from home.
It is not easy to think and schedule meals for our kid’s daily baon, we need to ensure that they will enjoy their mealtime by cooking different viands or else they will bring home their packed lunch half-eaten or not touched at all.
To add twist and variation to encourage them to eat well is the key. I have found a new product in the market that even picky-eaters will enjoy – Frabelle products. Their great tasting value added meats stick to the old-traditional disciplines of food processing such as the natural smoking of meat and the blow-torching of sugar in hams, combined with its cutting edge Fresh-Lock Freezing Technology, from which all of its meat and seafood products are maintained fresh and tasteful.
I included their Yummy! Hotdogs, Longganiza Hamonado, Pork Ham Tocino, Hickory Smoked Bacon and Honey Ham among other viands scheduled in my two weeks baon menu. Easy to cook, easy to prepare for my two sons’ baon delight 😀 They love the goodness of Frabelle food products.
Here is one recipe that will surely let your mouth water, perfect for a weekend family merienda that will bring good cheer and special bonding moments.
We need to be extra careful when buying processed foods, practice the habit of reading packaging labels. We ought to know the product’s National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) accreditation, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification to keep our family’s health safe. Well, I am happy that Frabelle products obtained all these requirements in record time. This is my kind of food. Comes in small bites sizes, easy to prepare and really delicious.
Ate Joy, can you pack me some “baon” too?…I will have the longganiza, hotdogs and the tocino, please…YUM!
These were pretty much the same things my mom will give me as my baon back in my younger years. But you’re right. Even though they are quick to prepare, these should not always be given because of all the preservatives.
ooh! croquettes are one of my favorite goodies! thanks for sharing the recipe ate. 🙂 now you just made me very hungry!
Never tried this brand. My kids love hotdog and tocino but they don’t like to have them as BAON because they prefer them newly cooked as in hot straight from the pan.
Even though I don’t have my own family yet, I can totally understand how there should be variety in a child’s baon. I always cringe back when I was a kid when my baon is hot dog na naman.. hahaha.. Anyway, I haven’t tried this brand yet, but will do soon 🙂
